Building permits were granted to more than 13,000 residential units between March and May, representing an increase of nearly a quarter (23%) from 2020.
The constant-price value of other constriction projects contrastively decreased by seven per cent, dragging the value of all construction projects three per cent below the level of last year. The total floor space of construction projects started amounted to 12.8 million cubic metres, of which residential buildings accounted for a little over a third, or 4.4 million cubic metres.
