To the Editor:
The following letter was sent to Denise Schepici, CEO and president of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
The Martha’s Vineyard Public Schools would like to express sincere gratitude to the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital for its tremendous support during the pandemic. This past year has been extraordinarily challenging for our school district, and the guidance and support the hospital provided was integral in our ability to resume full in-person instruction for our students.
Over the past year, you and your staff have been accessible, flexible, and reliable. Martha’s Vineyard Hospital has provided the schools with a $25,000 grant that assisted our families in accessing learning pods at the YMCA. Additionally, you have provided guidance on reopening our schools and implementing our testing program. Finally, you have been instrumental in the vaccination rollout for our staff and students.
Thank you, again, for all that you have done for the schools and for the Island community. I look forward to a continued partnership.
