Storms that developed in West Texas overnight weakened as they approach North Texas with brief heavy rain, some lightning and gusty winds. The rest of Sunday morning will be dry, but storm chances return this afternoon and evening. Heavy rain with lightning will be the main risks for anyone planning on spending time outside. Localized flooding will also be possible. A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging winds being the main threat.
