LOCK HAVEN — The preliminary hearing scheduled for Brian St. John, 19, of Lock Haven, has been continued again.
The in-person hearing at the Clinton County Courthouse had been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.
St. John is charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Jakob Lee Haines, 21, of Beech Creek, on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at the St. John residence in Woodward Township.
St. John has remained without bail in the Clinton County Correctional Facility since he was charged by state police at Lamar on the day after the shooting.
Clinton County Court Administrator Don Powers said defense attorney David Lindsay requested the continuance on Monday and it was granted by District Judge Frank P. Mills, who was scheduled to preside over the proceeding.
Lindsay has requested and been granted continuances numerous times in this case.
