RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. Roy Cooper and his coronavirus task force are expected to give an update Tuesday on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic across North Carolina.
They are set to speak at 2 p.m.

We expect to get an update on the state’s progress with vaccinations and any next steps as well as hear more on North Carolina’s key COVID-19 metrics.
In North Carolina, 26.8% of those 18 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Around 1.4 million people -- or 14% of the population -- is fully vaccinated.
