ultrasimi.blogspot.com

TRI-VALLEY, CA — Residents of Tri-Valley and cities across the Bay Area woke Monday morning to find themselves still in the dark.

Many locals were without power when they went to bed Sunday and hundreds continued to be without power early Monday, according to the Pacific Gas & Electric Co.'s outage map.

Dublin and San Ramon were the only areas where all had power, according to PG&E.

PG&E called on the public to conserve power Monday to prevent outages, according to a news release issued Monday morning. The utility's meteorologists expected temperatures to continue to climb through Wednesday and PG&E advised the public to be ready for power outages.

Power conservation can help take pressure off the power grid and reduce outages caused by the heat, PG&E said.

Here's the latest outage statistics as of 7:45 a.m. Monday:

  • Alamo: 2 outages; 108 customers impacted
  • Danville: 1 outage; 7 customers impacted
  • Livermore: 14 outages; 136 customers impacted
  • Pleasanton: 3 outages; 24 customers impacted
  • Sunol: 5 outages; 111 customers
