COLUMBUS, Ohio - After telling vaccine providers to suspend the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, Gov. Mike DeWine will provide a 3 p.m. Tuesday update to the state’s response to the coronavirus.
The Ohio Department of Health issued guidance to providers who are sitting on Johnson & Johnson vaccines, as well as those who have scheduled vaccine clinics but have not yet received the shots.
The Department of Health is working with colleges, universities and mass vaccination sites that had planned to provide Johnson & Johnson shots on alternative plans.

With DeWine will be Lt. Gov. Jon Husted; Dr. Andrew Thomas, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s chief medical officer; Dr. Mysheika Roberts, Columbus health commissioner; and Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Ohio Department of Health chief medical officer.
