LEONI TWP., MI -- A Jackson County provisioning center wants to help people in need enjoy a Thanksgiving feast.
The business 20 Past 4, a marijuana retail space on Ann Arbor Road in Leoni Township, will give away 100 uncooked turkeys to families in need, owner Tony Ali said.
Turkeys will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 3590 Ann Arbor Road, Jackson.
“Our goal is to take care of our patients and help our community in whatever way we can,” Ali said. “We are who we are because of the community and their support. The last ten months we have all been confronted with unforeseen difficulties that we are all living through COVID-19 and the pandemic. We feel people may need help during the holiday season.”
The turkeys are sourced from Sysco and will be distributed in pre-packaged gift boxes.
The store will also accept toy donations for Toys for Tots and redistribute any monetary donations for families, Ali said.
