Heal our community, give
meaning to #NotOneMore
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
As the three African-American elected city council officials in Santa Clara County, we stand with our community in peacefully protesting the injustice done to George Floyd and countless others. We join in your condemnation of racism and bigotry and know first-hand your pain and outrage. Your calls for change have not fallen on deaf ears.
We must prevent another senseless death from ever happening in our communities. As we continue to exercise our right to be heard, we ask that you respect laws and the safety of residents and property. Failing to do so not only endangers our neighbors and friends, but also buries the message of change that we know we all seek.
Let us use this opportunity to bring real change in our communities. By working collaboratively, we can achieve the systemic changes that are so needed, begin the healing in our community and give meaning to #NotOneMore.Rich Constantine
