More than $15.8 million was raised as of midnight by the the 2021 ‘Extraordinary Give,’ according to the organization’s website.
The one-day event aims to fundraise critical financial support for local organizations that serve the local community.
Dozens of community sponsors pitched in to support the effort donating more than half a million dollars. The sponsors include the Lancaster County Community Foundation, Rodgers & Associates, and The High Foundation.
Sponsored by Lancaster County Community Foundation, the annual event is supported by businesses, companies, and organizations. More than 500 donated toward the cause.
The 2021 event features a host of new prizes for organizations, including ten $5,000 prize awards to organizations striving to ensure equity within the community. Prizes will be awarded through a lottery drawing from a pool of organizations that wish to participate.
Since its launch in 2012, Extraordinary Give has raised more than $78 million for regional organizations.
