Wawa is giving teachers free coffee as part of its “Cheers to the Classrooms” celebration.
The convenience retailer announced any size coffee is free for school teachers and administrators at all of its stores through the month of September. The month-long promotion will also include a $25,000 fund and store-to-school visits.
Wawa plans to focus on supporting projects, resources, and supplies to help K-12 at-risk youth returning to school, with the fund.
Each Wawa store selected a local school to receive two boxes of free coffee, 50 free specialty donuts and 50 free Sizzli coupons for store-to-school visits.
“Wawa is making a special effort to bring cheer to classrooms across our chain with free coffee, financial support and special visits as our small way of expressing gratitude to those championing for our children,” Wawa president and CEO Chris Gheysens said. “It gives us great pride to celebrate our teachers and school administration who represent everyday heroes in our community.”
There are currently over 260 Wawa locations in New Jersey and more than 850 throughout the East Coast.
