Good Friday to you! After a cool and gloomy day across the region Thursday, we will see some sunshine today. There are a few flurries and light snow showers in spots this morning. These will end over the next couple of hours, and skies will begin to clear. Despite some sunshine, temperatures will be cool today with highs in the low to mid 40s.
If you’re headed to any Friday Night Football games this evening, bundle up! Temps will be in the 40s to begin the games, but fall into the 30s by the end. Winds will be light at the start, but will begin to increase.
Skies will be mostly clear tonight, and lows will fall into the upper 20s to low 30s.
Winds will increase from the south on Saturday, so that means a warm up for Halloween. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s, but winds will be sustained at 15-25 mph, gusts up to 35 mph. Clouds will move in late in the day ahead of a cold front. We could also see a few showers during the late evening and into Saturday night.
Behind the cold front on Sunday, much colder air will build into the Upper Midwest. Highs will only be in the 30s for the second part of the weekend, but with a strong northwest wind, it will feel even colder.
Continued cooler than average on Monday with highs in the upper 40s.
Winds will shift back out of the south beginning Tuesday, and that will cause a big warm up for the rest of the week. Expect highs in the upper 50s to low 60s with sunshine.
