SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -The annual 24-hour fundraiser, Siouxland Big Give, is set to take place on Tuesday.
The fundraiser, which is put on by the Siouxland Community Foundation, raises money for non-profits in Siouxland.
Siouxland Community Foundation Executive Director Katie Roberts, says there is a greater need for the fundraiser this year due to COVID-19.
She says it's important because there are a lot of non-profits in Siouxland who don't have the ability to hold fundraisers on their own, especially now, during a pandemic.
There are three ways to donate:
- Via Venmo by searching for siouxlandcommunityfoundation.
- Or in person at the following Hy-Vee locations:
- 2827 Hamilton Blvd. in Sioux City.
- 3301 Gordon Dr. in Sioux City.
- 4500 Sgt. Road in Sioux City.
- 2501 Cornhusker Dr. in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
"We encourage everyone to get on our website and checkout the number of organizations, we have nearly 100 organizations participating this year," said Katie Roberts, Siouxland Community Foundation Executive Director.
The goal this year is to raise $130,000.
