Officials are expected to update the public on ongoing coronavirus restrictions in Indianapolis and Marion County on Thursday.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Marion County Public Health Department Director Dr. Virginia Caine will hold a virtual press conference at 2 p.m.
Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Wednesday that the state will enter Stage 4 of its reopening plan on Friday, two days earlier than planned. Social gatherings of up to 250 will be permitted and retail can open at full capacity. Holcomb said communities in the rest of the state -- including Indianapolis -- can choose whether or not to move into Stage 4.
Marion County has been running behind the rest of the state and remains in Stage 3.
