A 21-year-old Fayette man charged with murder has had his cause continued until next month.
On January 3, 2020, Alfredo Demario Hicks Jr. entered a plea of not guilty and waived his formal arraignment.
Hicks is charged with a Class A Felony for Murder in the First Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old John L. Turner, of Poplar Bluff, who was found deceased inside his vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound at approximately 1:30 p.m. on December 30, 2019.
Hicks is currently being held without bond.
Hicks appeared in court on Wednesday, June 17 and with Discovery in the case still ongoing, the court has scheduled a Plea/Trial Setting for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Howard County Circuit Court.
